In 1984, Darryl Hunt is charged and convicted of the violent rape of a young lady and sentenced to life in prison, although there was little to no evidence that proved his guilt. In 1994, DNA testing then proved conclusively that Darryl Hunt's DNA was not found at the crime scene, but in fact another man's was. He was still not exonerated. It was at this time that HBO started filming and in a documentary that spans over three decades, set out to prove his innocence and perpetuate the movement towards his exoneration. Hard hitting and candid, this is an emotional journey through some of the darkest hours of Hunt's life and a fine presentation of a man who kept his dignity while the madness of corruption was going on all around him.
