MCU: 30 Actors Who Could Have Starred In Avengers: Infinity War

29. Saoirse Ronan (Scarlet Witch)

Marvel Studios was apparently seeking out Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan to play Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron. As it turned out, Ronan passed on the role, and Marvel moved onto Elizabeth Olsen instead.

Would It Have Worked?: No question. Ronan's a world-class actress who's been long overdue her own hit tentpole franchise, and this would have been a neat fit for her.

Still, Olsen is a terrific performer in her own right, and though the role of Scarlet Witch isn't much of a stretch for her, she knocks it totally out of the park.
