3. It Could Lead Into Secret Invasion

As much as the events of Secret Wars themselves are amazing and fully deserving of a film adaption, the events at the closing of the series also provide ample reason for the series to hit the big screens.

In particular, the discovery that the Thing's girlfriend - Alicia Master - has been replaced by a Skrull seems an event worth note. While it doesn't sound like a major event, the Skrull - named Lyja - features in the Secret Invasion storyline, wherein the Skrulls attempt to takeover the Earth by secretly replacing superheroes over time.

While Captain Marvel ends with Carol helping the aliens find a new home planet, this isn't to suggest that the Skrull haven't considered taking over the Earth in the time between Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame.

Similarly, nobody would ever know when and if they replaced someone - so, for all we know, the secret Skrull takeover has already begin in the MCU.
