3. Narnia: The Magician's Nephew

It's been more than 15 years since the release of the last Narnia movie - do you feel old yet? 

But this soft reboot has some unprecedented prestige behind it, given that it's being written and directed by awards darling Greta Gerwig, while rocking a stupendously stacked cast including Emma Mackey, Carey Mulligan, Ciarán Hinds, Daniel Craig, Meryl Streep, and many more.

The Magician's Nephew is the first chronological novel in C. S. Lewis' Narnia series, and this adaptation will be Netflix's first full-fat wide theatrical release of any original movie they've produced, with the streamer even giving it a 45-day exclusivity window in cinemas.

The production also marks an ambitious step up for Gerwig following the success of Barbie, with the film rocking a colossal $200 million budget and select scenes reportedly being shot with IMAX cameras.

Narnia: The Magician's Nephew releases theatrically February 12, 2027, before hitting Netflix on April 2, 2027.
