19. The Thomas Crown Affair

The world was hardly screaming out for another remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, but it's tough not to be swayed given that this new adaptation both stars and is being directed by Michael B. Jordan.

More to the point, Jordan's iteration is an ultra-glossy blockbuster take that seems to be placing a huge emphasis on high-wire action, considering that it was shot for IMAX.

Jordan stars as the title character while Adria Arjona plays his love interest, Kenneth Branagh is presumably the villain, and wider cast is filled out by Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, and Pilou Asbæk.

Jordan is obviously white-hot right now following the Oscar-winning success of Sinners - including his own Best Actor win - and will surely be hoping to cement himself as a bankable tentpole director, following up the success of his 2023 debut Creed III.
