20 Most Underrated Horror Movies EVER
15. Resurrection
It's truly maddening that more folk don't talk about Resurrection - an absolutely mesmerising psychological horror-thriller starring Rebecca Hall as Margaret, a woman who finds herself once again terrorised by her abusive ex partner, David (Tim Roth).
Hall confirms herself to be one of the most consistently compelling and audacious actors in the horror genre, painting an utterly transfixing picture of trauma and obsession that's matched every step of the way by Roth's deliciously sinister turn.
It'd be sacrilege to spoil the film's more left-field surprises, but it's safe to say that some of the story's more unexpected turns are likely precisely why Resurrection isn't talked about more.
Writer-director Andrew Semans takes some incredibly bold risks in the third act, and while they won't work for everyone, the overall vision is so forthright, so brilliantly chilling from start to finish, that folk should appreciate the whole even if they don't vibe with how it closes out.
