One Mind Blowing Secret From Every MCU Movie

2. Lewis Pullman's Sentry Shape - Thunderbolts*

Even in the age of muscle suits and CGI, actors will always go above and beyond to get into superhero shape when the time comes. Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans became convincing gods and supersoldiers, respectively, while Paul Rudd and Kumail Nanjiani, in particular, shocked with their transformations for Ant-Man and Eternals, respectively.

Slightly different was the experience of Lewis Pullman, who played triple duty as Bob, Sentry, and finally the Void in Thunderbolts. While the latter was totally blacked out, the aesthetic had to be right for the other two very different sides of the character.

As Bob, Pullman played an unassuming, nervous man who gave you no reason to think there was really anything more to him. Of course, he had gotten into good shape for the film, but he used things like his body language to cover his superhero physique.

Between his scenes as Bob and the Sentry reveal, which at the time was going to be a big shirtless scene according to the actor, there were two weeks. While most actors tend to have months, Pullman had just two weeks of intense training to physically transform from the unassuming Bob to the godlike Sentry, and it's fair to say he nailed it.
