A competitive category this year, and one where a lot of movies could be recognised while failing to do so elsewhere. The WGA left out the likes of The Post and Three Billboards, but they've picked up key nominations elsewhere.

Conversely, The Big Sick has a WGA nod, but has been overlooked by the Globes and the BAFTAs. Lady Bird, Get Out, and The Shape of Water are the constants, with I, Tonya in contention too.
