Oscars 2019: Predicting All The Nominees

9. Cinematography

Roma, The Favourite, and First Man have been regularly nominated here, including at the American Society of Cinematographers Awards, so it'd be a huge shock not to see those three in the mix.

ASC also nominated A Star Is Born and Cold War, while Bohemian Rhapsody, If Beale Street Could Talk, and Black Panther (the latter two shot by recent nominees, James Laxton and Rachel Morrison) have picked up some nominations too. It's hard to imagine A Star Is Born missing out, since it's in contention in most categories, but either Laxton or Morrison could just pip Cold War Łukasz Żal, although he too has previous here and is on good form this awards season.
