Mank, Promising Young Woman, and The Trial of the Chicago 7 all feel pretty safe, though Judas and Minari are a little tougher to call, and could definitely be replaced by Soul or, in what would be a fist-pumping coup, Sound of Metal.
Either way, this category's clearly going to have five super-strong contenders, and though Aaron Sorkin's script for The Trial of the Chicago 7 leads the pack, his win is anything but guaranteed at this point.
