The five nominees for Best Adapted Screenplay all feel relatively safe, though don't discount the possibility that one of them gets pipped to the post by Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.

Though there are passionate grassroots campaigns for both First Cow and The White Tiger - the latter scoring a surprise Writers Guild of America nomination - it just isn't easy to picture either breaking through with so many awarded heavyweight contenders in the mix.
