What Should Win: The Worst Person in the World

In an ideal world Joachim Trier's brilliant drama would've been nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actor, but has to settle for merely Best International Feature and Best Original Screenplay.

It's a strong field this year, but Trier's film brought so much emotional honesty to the table and matched it with such impeccable technical and acting craft that, for a good while, it seemed like the frontrunner.

What Will Win: Drive My Car

Drive My Car's success story is one that few could've seen coming last year when it was quietly building buzz on the festival circuit.

Ryusuke Hamaguchi's three-hour drama basically can't lose in this category considering it's also been nominated for Best Picture and Best Director, making it surely the most predictable win of the night.
