It's a strong year for docs but Daniel Roher's thrilling film about the poisoning of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has such a winning combination of timely subject matter and compellingly intimate, fly-on-the-wall execution.
What Will Win:
Navalny
It's down to Navalny and Fire of Love at this point, but given that Navalny scooped both the BAFTA and PGA, it's a solid favourite.
Yet don't be totally shocked if Fire of Love - a more romantic and mainstream-skewing doc that was released internationally on Disney+ - steals it away.
