Ranking 10 Most Exciting Upcoming Star Wars Performances
10. Andy Serkis – Supreme Leader Snoke
The Force Awakens really left us hanging when it came to the
mysterious Supreme Leader Snoke. While we still don’t know much about him other
than he’s pretty creepy looking (at least in hologram form) and wouldn’t seem
out of place standing next to Voldemort in a Harry Potter film, and that he’s
the ruler of the First Order and seems to be the puppetmaster pulling Kylo
Ren’s strings.
Since his first appearance fan theorists have been going wild trying to guess Snoke’s true identity – is he Mace Windu? Darth Vader resurrected? Or is he the titular Last Jedi? – though recent word from director Rian Johnson suggests his origin won’t be revealed in the next instalment.
That isn’t to say Snoke won’t be playing a bigger role in The Last Jedi than he did in The Force Awakens, but we will probably have to wait until Episode IX before we get any truly juicy info on him. Still, it’ll be great to see Andy Serkis – the king of motion capture performance – to reprise his role.
