7. Chewbacca

Chewbacca is the forever loyal companion of Han Solo, one of the Rebellion and Resistance's strongest soldiers. A Wookiee warrior who fought in the Clone Wars, became a smuggler and later became a fierce enemy to the First Order, Chewbacca has been a part of the Star Wars universe from the very beginning to its current end.

Chewbacca was critical in the destruction of the first and second Death Star and Starkiller Base. Strong enough to rip the arms off of people, he was a threat to all the enemies he faced, always fighting to protect his friends. Chewbacca was also a highly skilled pilot and mechanic, often repairing and flying the Falcon during dangerous situations.

Forever a loyal companion, Chewbacca rarely got his time in the sun. A sidekick to Han Solo and the main trio in the sequel trilogy, he was frequently out-shined by other characters, but that never stopped him being an outstanding hero for the light side.
