5. Princess Leia Organa

Leia Organa is the iconic princess badass of the Star Wars movies. She was the princess of Alderaan before it was destroyed, and helped lead the Rebellion to their victory over the Empire. The daughter of Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala, she was fearless, courageous and had a strong connection to the Force.

Originally a diplomat and representative of Alderaan, Leia secretly funded and worked with the Rebellion. She openly worked against the Empire, both on the front lines and in the war rooms. She was handy with a blaster, often fighting Stormtroopers head on.

Princess Leia was a clever tactician as well as a fighter, co-ordinating the destruction of the first Death Star, the evacuation of Hoth and the attack on the second Death Star. She helped lead the Resistance in the sequel trilogy and proved herself through the six movies she appeared in as a tough, resourceful and powerful hero.
