Ranking Every Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Film Worst To Best

3. TMNT

Coming out fourteen years after Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3, this film acted as a soft reboot and quasi sequel to the previous trilogy. TMNT benefits from jumping right into the story and doesn't waste any time with a retold origin. It assumes the audience is aware of the Turtles and gets straight into the plot.

However, the plot is where this film is at its weakest. While the character interactions are spot on and interesting, the Turtles don't really need to be in this movie. Remove them from the story, and the plot would still likely wrap up in the exact same way.

The highlight of this film are the fight scenes. It has fast paced and beautifully choreographed fights. Since this movie is entirely CGI, it doesn't have the same restrictions actors in suits. Of all the movies, this one has the best action scenes by far.

The film unfortunately does not feel complete as it was heavily implied that a sequel would happen. However, due to the rights of the franchise being sold two years after this movie came out, that follow up film never happened.
