Ranking Every Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Film Worst To Best

2. Turtles Forever

Although Turtles Forever never received a theatrical release, it's generally considered to be one of the best Ninja Turtles movies of all time. This made for TV movie came out to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise and it combines almost every past iteration of the Turtles in one film.

The film primarily teams up the 2003 animated series Turtles with the classic 1987 cartoon Turtles. Turtles Forever wasn't able to use the original 1987 voice actors, which stands out a bit, but can be overlooked for the most part. Its use of so much of the lore draws the viewer in and helps make this film infinitely more interesting than the majority of the other movies.

The final battle is where this film makes its mark on the franchise. Not only are the two cartoon series coming together, but for the first time the 1984 black and white Mirage Turtles make their first animated appearance.

Seeing all of these different versions come together is surreal, but very satisfying. Everything ends with co-creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird delivering some voiceover dialogue that makes everything come full circle.

The downside of watching this movie now is that the DVD release has a few minutes cut from the finished product, and thus Turtles Forever has never seen a full proper release since it aired.
