Ranking February 2015’s Movies From Worst To Best

By Jack Pooley /

8. All The Wilderness

RottenTomatoes Score: 65% (5.8/10 average) Box Office: Neither the budget nor its grosses have been publically disclosed, but you can bet that both were very low. This debut from writer-director Michael Johnson benefits hugely from its talented, young lead actors, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Isabelle Fuhrman, as well as fine support from Virginia Madsen. What could easily have been yet another incessantly mopey indie flick about death and existence is by turns much more affecting, shot through with a certain self-awareness of its potential to be such, gorgeously shot, and finely performed by Smit-McPhee in particular.
