Ranking February 2015’s Movies From Worst To Best

By Jack Pooley /

1. Wild Tales

RottenTomatoes Score: 92% (7.9/10 average) Box Office: Impressively produced on merely $3.3 million given its insanity, Wild Tales has grossed an equally laudable $24 million so far. Though it missed out on winning the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar last week, Wild Tales is easily one of the most diverting and memorable high-profile foreign film releases in quite some time. An anthology of stories revolving around numerous dementedly funny scenarios (such as a man arranging for all of his enemies to board the same plane before crashing it into the ground), this Argentinian-Spanish black comedy is one of the more consistently brilliant anthology movies in years and years. Whether telling a deceptively simple revenge story or a Terry Gilliam-esque tale of bureaucracy gone mad, nothing is ever quite as it seems, and each of the six stories has a dramatically ironic twist of some sort which proves immensely satisfying. If you're easily offended, though, probably give it a miss. Which movies did you love this month? Which ones did you hate? Shout it out in the comments!
