Scream VI Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs
1. It's One Of The Weakest Entries Into The Series
Now, while reviews for Scream VI have been mostly positive so far, and it's certainly a decent sequel, it's nevertheless one of the weaker entries into the franchise overall.
Yes, Scream 3 is easily the worst of the bunch and this gets nowhere near that, but it's also a far cry from the first two Screams and, by lacking the compelling reveals of the fourth and fifth movies, slides comfortably into second-to-last place.
Granted, it's still impressive that the series only has one genuinely bad movie to date, but for anyone hoping that Scream VI would be a super-charged sequel to the franchise-rejuvenating entry, it ultimately ends up conventional to a fault and a pretty standard fare effort.
These issues aside, though, there's plenty for Scream fans to enjoy. And so, here's what Scream VI gets right...
