While not as suspenseful or immediately iconic as the pre-title kills from the first two Screams, the willingness to do something different and lead the audience down an unpredictable path is a lot of fun, while steering clear of Scream 4's excessively meta intro.

Combining brutal violence with some neat twists on what fans anticipate from the start of a Scream movie, it's perhaps the best part of the entire film, suggesting a far more subversive sequel than we actually ended up with.
