Solo: A Star Wars Story - 10 Concerns Raised By The New Trailer

4. ... Is That Where They're Taking The Musical Score?

The music that plays over the teaser isn't like anything we've heard in the Star Wars universe before, and it suggests that the studio have decide to opt for an entirely different soundscape this time round. Is that an electric guitar?

And whilst experimentation is welcomed, there's something not quite right about the tone of the music used here. It almost sounds at odds with everything that we know and love about Star Wars.

There's a chance that the music in the trailer won't actually wind up in movie, but given the hiring of composer John Powell, who is perhaps best known for his kinetic scores on the Bourne movies and as a former member of Hans Zimmer's music studio, it appears that a decision has been made to move away from the Williams-styled orchestral swells into more modern territory.

Let's hope it doesn't all wind up sounding quite as awkward and ham-fisted as the weird, remixed take on the Star Wars theme you can hear the moment the movie title appears at the end of this teaser. John Williams it ain't, folks.
