Spider-Man: Homecoming - First Real Look At Shocker Revealed

How shocking!

The first Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer may have revealed what Bokeem Woodbine's gauntlets will look like in the film, but so far, links to the comic book version of Shocker have been limited to unofficial leaks and set shots. But now, thanks to the always reliable Toy Fair, we have a better look at the character.

Though the set photos of Woodbine supposedly in costume from last year were subsequently proven to be fake, it looks like they were fairly accurate. And while he doesn't look entirely like the comic book original character, you can see where the iconic (if admittedly silly) look from the comics has influenced his new suit.

The new look at the character comes thanks to some of the promotional artwork from the New York Toy Fair, which also shows off some of the Spidey toys that are no doubt going to be massive sellers for Disney this summer.

Marvel definitely deserve credit for making the character look that cool (given how terrible he could have looked on screen).
