Not actually a Spider-Man story arc but a six-part New Avengers event, Breakout sees Web-Head forge a successful alliance with Earths Mightiest Heroes after Electro frees a bunch of big bads from the supervillain prison known as the Raft.
The team-up goes so well that Captain America invites Spidey to become a fully-fledged member of the hero team, something that could very well happen in the MCU.
Although a Breakout adaptation would bring Spider-Man seamlessly into the Avengers fold, Electro as the main antagonist doesnt seem likely following Jamie Foxxs largely forgettable outing as the power-hungry villain in Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Nevertheless, a bad guy switch-up and a few source material liberties sees the arc become fertile ground for Hollands Spidey as a means of integrating him to Caps crew in time for 2018s Avengers Infinity War.
