Star Wars: 10 Best Pieces Of The Expanded Universe

6. Prince Xixor

Going back once more to Shadows Of The Empire, author Joe Perry introduced an extremely powerful crime syndicate, The Black Sun and the true Al Capone of the SW universe (apologies to Jabba the Hutt), Prince Xixor. Xixor was powerful. It may even be fair to say that after Palpatine and Vader, that Xixor was the next most potent individual in the universe. A master of duplicity and subterfuge, Xixor was a threat. He was a problem because he was in league with powerful people, the ones who matter, the ones who keep the galaxy running. The higher he moved up the ladder, the more everyone had reason to be nervous. Not only to the people who lived within the universe, but also Vader himself, whom Xixor held a long standing - and secret - grudge against. A beautifully orchestrated game of cat and mouse ensued in which each combatant was vying for the favour of the Emperor. In the end though, Vader, as one would expect, comes out on top. Sadly, Prince Xixor no longer holds any sway in the Star Wars universe, regardless.
