7. Luke Is Not Rey's Father, She Is His

Luke is not Rey's father, according to the same IMDB forum poster. He says that that particular revelation won't come in Episode VIII or IX, and that it's immediately clear that they aren't father and daughter.

So who is she?

Well, here's a bold one. In the same lengthy leak posted to Reddit, it was revealed that when Luke and Rey meet, the latter is annoyed at the former for abandoning her on Jakku. She believes he is her father and takes him to task, only for him to reveal that she is in fact the reincarnated spirit of Anakin Skywalker.

Rating: 3/10

It would be way too on the nose for Luke to be revealed to be Rey's father now, but that inversion is just way too silly to really accept. And while the Force reincarnation idea is a clever one, it would be a pretty massive swerve to play with the canon at this stage.

Still, there are hints: Rey's vision included moments from Anakin's life, the dynamic with Kylo Ren would make more sense and there is a pleasant symmetry in the idea that the One would not be killable, but would re-manifest to try and bring order to the Force again.
