3. Dealing With The Hutt
From early on in the saga we know that Han owes Jabba the Hutt a lot of money. So much money, in fact, that it causes Jabba to place a bounty on his head thats attractive to the biggest and best hunters in the galaxy.
Given Han was a smuggler and Jabba a crime boss, its most likely that Han would do the odd-job for the mobster slug, and one of these going wrong is what leads to him being in a huge debt.
Itd be interesting to see just how Han fails on one of his smuggling runs, the events that cause it to happen (we know he dropped a shipment when getting boarded by Imperial officers, but no specifics), and the fallout from it as he uses all of his wits to escape the wrath of Jabba with false promises of getting his money. Theres also the chance hed run into Greedo - as that meeting in A New Hope wasnt their first - although hopefully one that doesnt lead to another who shot first debate.
Similarly, itd be good to see what the relationship was like between Jabba and Han before he got into his debt. Was it simply a business-like deal, or could they have perhaps been quite close before things went sour?
