LEGO could have let a major cat out of the bag at a recent announcement of their upcoming products. They teased some Rogue One products for October of this year, and illustrated this Rogue One range with an image resembling a very recognisable spaceship. It looks an awful lot like Slave I, the Firespray-31 class patrol and attack craft made famous by Boba Fett in the original Star Wars trilogy (and also used by Jango in the prequels). Theres a chance that LEGO are just dusting off old designs and sticking them under the Rogue One banner to sell a few more sets, but its also plausible that this inclusion means Boba Fett will show up in Rogue One. Itll be a while until anyone outside of Lucasfilms circle of trust knows for sure, but a Boba Fett appearance (cameo-length or otherwise) would make a certain amount of narrative sense. In terms of the movies, weve never seen what happened to him between Attack Of The Clones and A New Hope (Empire if you ignore Special Editions). Including him here could help fill in the gap, then, as well as potentially teeing up the Boba Fett solo movie thats been discussed. Maybe Lucasfilm are employing something of a Marvel Studios method, teasing the character here for a later film to follow up on.
