Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10 Questionable Moments From The Final Trailer

7. Han Solo - The Straight Man?

Granted, Han Solo has just a couple of lines in the generally fantastic final trailer for The Force Awakens ("It's true. All of it"), and whilst Harrison Ford manages to convince that he's the same scruffy-looking nerf herder from the original trilogy with minimal dialogue, it's slightly worrying that Han looks to have lost at least some of his rogue-like edge. Now, as previously stated, there's nowhere near enough material to make a proper judgement with regards to everybody's favourite space pirate and his role in Episode VII, though there does seem to be a sense of the "mentor" about him in the way that he talks to Rey and Finn in the trailer. He's gone from non-believer to Force devotee, which might seems like a natural progression for the character but - for some reason - remains hard to digest. Faith in J.J. Abrams, then, that the writer/director has managed to imbue Han Solo with an added "wise old man" edge without compromising his trademark roguish nature.
