6. It's Got Some Of The Best Action In The Franchise
It's a tall order to match the iconic action from the original trilogy, but Johnson has about done it, or at least got damn close.

The Last Jedi is an action-packed, intense movie with a number of memorable and highly entertaining set-pieces, several of which rank among the very best in the series.
A space battle and a lightsaber fight especially stand at the top of the pack, though there are also a number of smaller, individual action beats that represent some of the most visually imaginative action in the franchise to date.

On this basis alone, it's easy to see why Kathleen Kennedy and co. have given Johnson carte blanche to create his own Star Wars spin-off trilogy.
