This one is dependant on how flexible Grillo's contract with Marvel is and it's possibly about as malleable as The Thing but thanks to his appearance as sorta-villain Crossbones in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and a starring role in surprise hit sequel The Purge: Anarchy, he's a rising star whose got the right look and track record for a Rick Flag type. Previously making his name on television as hard-bitten characters in the likes of Prison Break and The Shield, Grillo is a little older than Hardy 49 to the younger actor's 37 but depending on how Flag is being characterised, that could be work. He's the cranky leader keeping everyone on the straight and narrow! A cranky elder who can nonetheless handle himself in a fight. Besides the obvious action scenes in The Purge and The Winter Soldier, Grillo also appeared alongside Hardy in superior MMA drama Warrior, and he was no shrinking violet there either.
