Suicide Squad: 9 Cool Deleted Scenes Missing From The Extended Cut

5. Slipknot's Intro

Ah, Slipknot. While he’s clearly everyone’s favourite member of the squad, he didn’t get much in way of screentime; or any screentime at all, really. He’s basically a human plot device, existing solely to show how ruthless Amanda Waller can be if people disobey her.

It was obvious from the beginning he wasn’t going to be a huge presence; he barely appeared in trailers, and in the movie he’s suddenly introduced before the mission starts. He didn’t even get a colourful intro like the other members, which was actually shot but cut by Ayer, so the audience weren’t misled into thinking he’d be important.

Another reason this intro was cut is because it would have revealed Slipknot was a serial rapist, which isn’t the kind of detail you leave in a PG-13 movie lightly.
