2. He Had Scenes Cut Too

Jared Leto can probably think himself aggrieved that a lot of his scenes were cut, but he wasn't the only one. Slipknot had his backstory cut, so too did Killer Croc; Boomerang was trimmed down too and we got different scenes in different places. Even Incubus had additional material that didn't make it:

"Yes a couple of scenes that I was expecting to see in the movie weren't there. but I've heard it was the same for the Joker who Jared Leto did a fantastic job with. So I can’t take it personally."

It's not as if filming ended up being pushed through an entirely different filter though: Alain says that what he filmed "seemed pretty much like it is in the movie". Obviously just with some missing.

But what does he feel about the final product?

"I liked it a lot. I wish I saw more of the Joker but it wasn’t his movie. But all and all I liked it a lot."

And what about the critical reaction?

"It's unfortunate but hey, the fans love it and that's what's important."
