Based on the 'novel' that has inexplicably sold over 125 million copies worldwide, the big screen adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey was no slouch either, earning over $570m at the global box office. All this despite the fact that for a so-called 'erotic drama', the movie is about as titillating as watching paint dry, anchored by two leads with precisely zero chemistry and a script that was even more laughable in live action than it was in print. Boasting such verbiage as 'f*ck the paperwork!', 'the helicopter is on standby to take you anywhere you need to go', 'I'm in line because I have to pee really bad', 'I want you unashamed of your nakedness' and of course the infamous 'what are butt-plugs?', the dialogue is packed full of unintentionally hilarious zingers. Thanks to the commercial success of the movie, it was swiftly announced that the two sequels will be shot back-to-back and released in 2017 and 2018. Yay?
