So, it seems obvious that Bruce relies heavily on Lucius Fox, and has a great deal of trust in him, seeing him as another figure to fill the gap his parents left. Hes saved Bruces bacon not just when it comes to fighting bad guys or savingGotham, but protecting his parents legacy and his secret identity. And that, friends, is why I hope that Lucius Fox is considered a necessary constant in every single interpretation for Batman on screen from now on, and why he is truly the unsung hero of The Dark Knight Trilogy. Because hes the hero The Dark Knight Trilogy deserves, but doesnt need right now. So well not appreciate him as much as we should- because he can take it. Because hes not a hero.
