16. Is That A Thinny?

A brief image in the trailer shows Jake facing down a giant red fog cloud, which may very well be a thinny. Thinnies are pockets where the spaces between realities have worn down, and they will attempt to pull anyone into their ether from which they cannot escape.

Thinnies taking on a red tint is a new trick, but remember that this has always been styled as a loose adaptation of Dark Tower, so a colour scheme change isn't all that big a deal.

Maybe the change has something to do with the series' ultimate Big Bad, the Crimson King? But more on him later...
