4. It's Hilarious And Ridiculous In Equal Measure

Despite the fact that it wasn't really shouted about in the marketing enough, The Hunt is an uproarious comedy for the most part. Sure it's an exploitation horror action mash-up too, but it's more comedy than anything else.

And the best thing about its comedy is that it's so unexpected and so... wrong? The punchlines aren't punchlines per se, they're bloody kills or beat downs. It's like a Saw movie, only you don't want the "victims" to escape their traps on purpose rather than simply because the actors are terrible.

The levels of its absurdity are also right up there and if you find yourself questioning it just think about the pig. The pig that has absolutely no relevance to anything. While wearing a shirt.
