The Hunt Review: 8 Ups & 5 Downs

3. Betty Gilpin

Universal Pictures

Daft name (Crystal May Creasey) aside, Betty Gilpin is an absolute revelation in this movie and you get the nagging sense that she's not going to get the credit she deserves.

She's completely believable in all facets of her character - even the ones we are LEAD to believe that might not be true. She's a badass with obvious military training, she's a pissed off Karen in a supermarket (this one's the key to believing some necessary things, without spoiling), she's the perfect antidote to the final girl and she throws in hilarious physical comedy and occasionally mugging through her general sense of malaise.

She steals the movie, in short and the more we see of her off the back of this and GLOW, the better.

The next point has something of SPOILER discussion in. Only lightly, but BE WARNED.
