1. It Directly Sets Up Avengers: Infinity War

The Rumour: With Ragnarok releasing barely six months ahead of Avengers: Infinity War, many assumed that it would provide a direct lead-in to the movie, perhaps unambiguously setting it up in a post-credits scene.

The Truth: As it turns out, apart from Thanos' ship showing up, Ragnarok is an incredibly standalone film that has very little impact on the overall picture of the MCU.

It looks like Black Panther will probably be providing the final lead-in next February, or Marvel could just pull the enormously bold move of having no palpable set-up at all, considering that it's going to print money either way.
