9. The INSANE Release Strategy - The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event

In theory, a biopic about The Beatles should be an absolute commercial slam-dunk, but the decision to give each member of the band their own movie carries some massive risks.

While it's a given that the films centered around John Lennon (Harris Dickinson) and Paul McCartney (Paul Mescal) are going to garner considerably more interest than those focused on Ringo Starr (Barry Keoghan) and George Harrison (Joseph Quinn), the bigger pain point is Sony's absolutely insane release plan.

At present, all four films are expected to release on the very same day - April 7, 2028.

Getting audiences out of the house to see one good movie is enough of a challenge, but four? 

All but the most die-hard Beatles fans will likely watch one or two of these films at absolute most and save the rest for streaming, if not simply wait until they can binge all four films over a weekend at home.

Even if the project turns out well, this strategy seems primed to backfire, and if Sony stubbornly sticks to it rather than spacing the films out by at least a month or two, they're likely going to have some sizable flops on their hands.
