If that title might make you think a prequel to Sergio Leone's masterful 1984 crime drama Once Upon a Time in America was in the works, that's not actually the case - though it probably would've made more sense than what we're getting.

Rather, Leone's estate recently announced development of a biographical drama chronicling the legendary filmmaker's attempts to get the film made.

Now, even accepting how brilliant Once Upon a Time in America is, how many folks are seriously craving a tell-all drama about its production?

There's been an increasing number of movies about the making of other movies in recent years, and honestly, how many of them are even remotely memorable, let alone actually good?

Considering that Once Upon a Time in America is only Leone's fourth-most popular film at best - behind his Dollars trilogy, of course - the potential audience for a movie based on its creation has to be absolutely tiny.
