10. Stan Lee Easter Egg

Stan Lee was the face of Marvel for decades and helped co-create plenty of beloved comic characters in the nearly 60 years he worked for the company. Lee passed away in 2018, but his cameos in Marvel films had become a kind of seal of approval. In 2000, the original X-Men movie featured him in a cameo, and he continued to appear in Marvel films for close to twenty years.

In Venom (2018), Stan Lee is a dog-walker in a cameo near the end of the film. In 2019, Stan Lee made two last posthumous appearances in Captain Marvel and in Avengers: Endgame, and it seemed that his cameos would probably be over ... which is why it was a surprise to see his face in the new Venom trailer.

While walking into Mrs. Chen's convenience store, Venom waves at the friendly owner, and then whips a tentacle forward to straighten a magazine with Stan Lee's face on it.

The homage to Stan Lee is a nice touch, and makes viewers hopeful that the film will be full of surprises that have the same creative spark Stan Lee brought to Marvel.
