9. Eddie Jumps In A Fish Tank
Shortly after Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is first infected with the symbiote, he heads to a fancy restaurant where his ex-girlfriend Anne (Michelle Williams) is dining with her new partner Dan (Reid Scott).
As he struggles to co-exist with the symbiote, Eddie starts acting incredibly erratically, taking a bite out of another patron's food, wildly gesticulating around and eventually diving into the lobster tank, where he snacks on one of the poor crustaceans.
Hardy deserves some measure of praise for throwing himself headlong into the role, though his scatty, hammy work in this scene inspires the wrong kind of perverse laughter.
This is sadly an instance that's more embarrassing, lame and cringe-worthy than genuinely funny. One thing's for sure: it's going to become an instant meme once the movie hits VOD.
