Although it's slated for release in October, Sony's Venom movie is still, for the most part, a closely guarded secret. We've had some behind-the-scenes images and the first official still of Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock, but little on plot details or villains.

One character who has been heavily tipped to appear in the movie is Carnage, with Riz Ahmed previously rumoured to be taking on the role. While there's no news on that front, a deleted Instagram post from Hardy - spotted by ComicBook.com - does hint at Carnage appearing in the movie, as it was a photo of fan art showing the two symbiotes together.

The first image from the movie contained an Easter egg that pointed towards the Life Foundation, which fit with previous talk of the film taking inspiration from the Lethal Protector comic arc. The Life Foundation have five symbiotes at their disposal, and it's easy to imagine Carnage being inserted into the story in that way. It could just as easily be Hardy having some fun, of course, but the fact it was pulled suggests it gives too much away.

Venom is scheduled for release on October 5, 2018. Do you hope to see Carnage in the movie? Let us know down in the comments.
