20 INSANE Horror Movie Moments You'll Never Stop Thinking About

6. Rob Narrates His Own Death - Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter features one of the most memorable deaths in the entire franchise, when Rob Dier (Erich Anderson) is cornered by Jason Voorhees (Ted White) in a basement and cleaved to ribbons with a gardening tool.

It's a pretty garden variety Friday the 13th death scene as far as technique goes, but what makes it stand out is that Rob repeatedly screams "He's killing me!" as he perishes, all while Trish Jarvis (Kimberly Beck) can only look on in terror.

Many have taken the opportunity to clown on the scene over the years for its sheer campy absurdity, but here's a fun fact - director Joseph Zito actually modelled the scene off a newspaper story he read where a man shouted, "Please stop hurting me, please stop killing me!" while being fatally stabbed.

Ultimately many still consider the scene utterly ludicrous, but regardless of your own take on it, it's a death scene that's incredibly tough to shake.
