So far, this list has covered the first X-Men trilogy, but here's a scene cut from the more recent First Class. In this excised vignette, Erik Lehnsherr arrives in Argentina, hot on the trail of his Nazi targets. He sees a mother and son at the airport that remind him of his own boyhood, sparking a moving flashback. The scene is unquestionably well acted, and fans can never get enough Fassbender, but in the final analysis, the movie was better served by just cutting to the chase.
