X-Men: Apocalypse - 10 Actors Who Should Play Gambit

7. Matthew Bomer

Fans of White Collar will definitely appreciate this choice. The hit TV show stars Matt Bomer as an ex con artist and thief called Neil Caffrey who uses his charisma and good looks to charm his way out of tricky situations. Sound familiar?

Like Gambit, Caffrey is a former criminal who tries to atone for previous mistakes and his sometimes ambiguous morality makes for captivating viewing. Bomer nails the character perfectly and it's not a stretch of the imagination to picture him in the role of the Ragin' Cajun. Their facial features are certainly similar and fans of stripper film Magic Mike will know for a fact that Bomer's physique is a perfect match.

The issue with casting Bomer in the part is that it may almost be too similar to his role in White Collar, so we could potentially end up with a super powered Neil Caffrey as Gambit. With the right script and careful acting choices though, this would not necessarily be a problem.
