10. James McAvoy's Xavier Will Become Professor X (And Go Bald)
It seems, according to none other than James McAvoy himself, that Professor X will start to lose his lustrous locks in Apocalypse. Visually, this more follically-challenged appearance for Charles Xavier will help to connect the First Class trilogy with the original films by making McAvoy look more like Patrick Stewart - but don't expect the mutant telepath to be happy that his hair's falling out. Since Apocalypse is set predominantly in 1983, the hair loss is not especially surprising. After all, it had to happen sooner or later, but while audiences can expect one or two bald jokes at the Professor's expense, it remains to be seen how well McAvoy can pull off a bald head or, God forbid, a combover. Leaving aside Xavier's less shaggy look, rumours persist that the character is also going to be more focused and, well, Xavier-like in this film. With the casting of Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner and Tye Sheridan announced, it seems certain that the Professor will be trying to put the X-Men team of the original films - including Storm, Jean Grey and Cyclops - together for the first time.
