8. The Blackbird

Though Beast's attempts to make his own warbird (in case Xavier changes his mind about wanting to turn his students into warriors) end in failure and tragedy, he does actually get to fly one.

He steals Stryker's plane from Alkali Lake which is modelled on an actual bird, not only tying together a nice little joke, but also referencing back to the fact that the X-Men jet (which is referred to in the movie universe as the X-Jet) is actually called The Blackbird.

Clearly Singer was so influenced by the "is it a bird, is it a plane" line in Superman that he decided to answer yes to both. Not sorry.
